VDO Launches an Aid for Collision Investigators
Birmingham, August 01, 2008
VDO DTCOscope is the complete solution for collision investigators to produce a detailed analysis of speed and acceleration using the data from the digital tachograph
VDO DTCOscope package comprises of a TIS-Compact download device to download the data from the digital tachograph's mass memory and DTCOscope innovative software to produce a detailed analysis of 1Hz and 4Hz speed data, acceleration, time and distance travelled. The flexible solution can be configured to download and view mode activities; events and faults; and speed data for the previous 24 hours driving.
"VDO DTCOscope gives investigators convienent access to data from any make of digital tachograph and the ability to analyse that data" explains Peter Needham, VDO Tachograph Product Manager. "The solution can provide vital clues to the cause of the collision; for example, 4 Hz speed data up to one minute before and after the collision can be viewed*. And the data of several vehicles involved in the same collision can be viewed simultaneously."
VDO DTCOscope is suitable for both enforcement authorities and large fleets. The solution costs £1,750 and includes training for one delegate.
